Frequently asked questions about Mottura’s smart access platform.
To manually reset the lock, remove the cover to access the DIP switches, set selectors 2-3-4 to ON, hold down the latch until it beeps (about 5 seconds) and the LED turns solid red. Release the latch, press it again to confirm the operation (within 5 seconds), then set all DIP switches to OFF (as per operating mode) and replace the cover.
It is important that the peripheral device is close to the lock to which it was associated. To perform a reset, you must send an opening command three times.
- bDIGIT – Turn on the escutcheon and press Enter, wait for the LED to flash blue and red between each command.
- bTRACK and bTAG – Press the Mottura button three times, wait for the LED to flash blue and red between each command.
Using the app, select "Accessories" from the icons at the bottom of the screen, then follow the procedure indicated by the app depending on the peripheral to be paired.
Using the app, press "Accessories" in the icons at the bottom of the screen, then, after pairing the device.
- bDIGIT - Press "Keyboard Codes" to generate new codes, select "Add New Code," then follow the procedure in the app.
- bTRACK - Press "Fingerprints" to enter a new fingerprint, then follow the procedure in the app.
- bTAG - Press "Add New Tag" to enter a new transponder card, then follow the procedure in the app.
From the screen with the lock, where it is highlighted that the user is "Guest," press the lock to access the screen with the green padlock. Then, press "Configure" in the icons at the bottom of the screen and enter the "MASTER" code. From the screen with the lock, it is now highlighted that the user has become "Master."
If the "account" icon at the bottom of the main screen is yellow, tap it and then "change password," then follow the instructions in the app. Return to the main screen, tap the "account" icon, "log out," and enter your new password.
Check the position of the door status magnet, which must be positioned at the same height as the sensor on the lock (the transparent white one that emits LED signals) and not at the black cap covering the dip switches.
The latch may be stuck.
The Bluetooth may be turned off, so we recommend turning off the power, turning the handle several times to allow the lock's capacitors to discharge, and then reconnecting the power to the lock.
For XMode, we recommend replacing it with a bNOVA base paired with the 97724/746 logic unit (connected via the dry contact cable supplied with the lock), which allows the use of the existing external peripheral. The internal peripheral will no longer be usable and can be replaced, if necessary/possible, with the opening button. For XNova, we recommend replacing it with a bNOVA base, reusing the existing accessories.
To add a new smartphone, you need to generate an invitation code. Simply connect to the lock using the Administrator smartphone and generate an invitation code. You can choose whether to create another administrator or just a guest user. Once the code has been created, you will be given the option to share the code with another user using one of the tools installed on the smartphone (e.g., email, WhatsApp, etc.). The new smartphone simply needs to install the app and use the invitation code received to pair with the lock.
Simply access the app settings and select the menu item that allows you to manage devices. A screen will appear that allows you to select bBRIDGE, then use the Change Wi-Fi network button to start the wizard.
By using the Diagnostics function in the app’s advanced settings, you can check the readings and operation of the sensors in the lock.
Simply connect to the device by following these steps: open the app and select the menu in the top-right corner. Select Settings, then Device Diagnostics. Next, select bKEY and follow the instructions in the app. To remove the lock, tap the bin icon.
