What is a Europrofile cylinder and why is it so important?
The Europrofile cylinder is a mushroom-shaped device containing a rotating body (rotor).
It performs its locking function via a set of internal mechanisms (springs, pins, counter-pins, etc.): when the correct key is inserted, the pins align, allowing the rotor to turn and actuate a cam, which in turn moves the lock’s gears.
The cylinder is the part of the door most frequently targeted by burglars, as it is often easier to tamper with than other components of the door. For this reason, choosing a high-security product is essential.
